The totals sales of the SRX in the United States show a 500% jump comparing it to the sales figures of the first 5 months in the market last year. It outpaced the Acura MDX, BMW X5, Audi Q7, and the M Class of Mercedes-Benz. The transaction price for the current model year of the SRX is about $2,300 more than its older sibling.

Aside from the excellent sales figures, the resale value of the Cadillac SRX is also up by 17% from last year which is the biggest gain for its segment. The resale value of the vehicle is estimated to be at 48% after 36 months after the sale. The previous model has a resell value of 31% after the same period.

The market approach of Cadillac to push for the SRX blended all the elements correctly which resulted to low spending for incentives, faster turn around time for dealers, and an overall positive impact for the brand.

The demand for the SRX has been consistently high since its debut in Summer of 2009. The officials of Cadillac attribute the success to the bold design of the SRX, its excellent handling, and features that appeal to the luxury crossover market.

The SRX is fitted with a V6 3.0L with an option for an AWD or a FWD. Consumers can also go for a turbocharged 2.8: V6 powerplant.

The new Cadillac SRX crossover will be introduced during the Detroit Auto Show this January. According to Cadillac executives, the new generation SRX was reengineered and redesigned to become a more efficient vehicle.

The new SRX aims to meet head on with the RX crossover of Lexus. It is aimed to get a bigger chunk of the demand of the market for mid-size vehicles.

The car sports two options for its engine. The standard variant has an output of 260 horsepower and is a 3.0L V6 direct injection power plant. There is also an option to get a V6 2.8L turbo engine roaring at 300 horsepower. These engines will both be coupled with a six speed automatic transmission.

Car buyers will also have the option go for an all wheel drive which will be able to supply torque as the situation demands by transferring it from side to side and front to rear axles with its installed slip differential.

The more efficient engines are hitting the 20 mpg highway fuel rating but the tests are not yet completed. With its power, the SRX crossover will be able to pull around 3500 pounds. The designers of the car expect around 10 to 15% more fuel economy compared to its older sibling.

The 2010 SRX is expected to be an excellent vehicle in any type of weather. The car is designed to give what the driver needs to get the most control and performance out of the vehicle.

Safety of the driver and other occupants was the utmost concern during the conceptualization of the vehicle. The company boasts of protection while riding the vehicle, during crashes, or after road mishaps.

The designers opted to use Martensitic steel to provide a hard shell that will not easily breakdown during side impact, front, or rear collisions.
